Smiling Young Woman

Our Mission:

Simultaneously give kids equal opportunities and empower young women.

About STEM-HER

STEM-HER is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit led by high school girls that creates free STEM hands on learning kits for kids. We believe the best way to learn is through doing, not just reading. Our goal is to give kids equal opportunities to be inspired by STEM. We spread our impact by leading free STEM workshops open to everyone, where we distribute the kits.

Introducing you to the people behind STEM-HER

Our Team

Founder

Nancy Z.

I created STEM-HER to help more kids discover their passion for STEM. Ever since I was a kid, my dad would show me fascinating STEM experiments and it greatly contributed to my interest in STEM. The kits we distribute are inspired by my dad and I hope to give every kid the joy I felt watching those experiments!

Hi! I joined STEM-HER because of its mission to increase accessibility of being able to do STEM-related activities with children while making it fun. Additionally, its focus on encouraging girls to join STEM-related fields through events and workshops is something I wish I had when I was younger and so I joined to give other little girls a fun opportunity that many of us didn't have back then!

Bangkok Co-Chapter Lead

As a girl interested in the STEM field myself, I am keen on raising interest in STEM to communities wider than mine. I believe that regardless of gender or social class, education (especially in STEM) should be accessible to all, and STEM-HER is a great non-profit that can provide people with opportunities to connect more with sciences and engineering.

Director of Outreach

Ariya S.

It's always been a strong belief of mine that everyone should have the chance to follow their dreams, and STEM-HER's goals align closely with mine, creating opportunities for girls to strive for careers in STEM that they might not have pursued otherwise. Having the chance to inspire and encourage younger generations throughout Thailand and beyond would be an incredible experience and something that I would love to be a part of.

Let's make a positive impact together.

Thailand Director of Public Relations

As the Director of PR, I want to add to STEM-HER's strong social media presence, inspiring more girls to pursue STEM fields. This is because I aspire to contribute to building a larger supportive community and continuing to advocate for women in STEM.

Thailand Director of Operations

I believe STEM-HER provides a valuable opportunity for me to connect with like-minded women, share real-world experiences, and actively support each other--as well as those in our communities--in navigating the challenges girls often face in STEM fields. I hope I will be able to make a difference for many girls out there through our workshops and events as Director of Operations.
